Tansterne Biomass Plant
We have worked with GB-Bio on various developments in recent years at their biomass plant in East Yorkshire.
The plant, on a 12-acre site, was energised in March 2017 and was recognised for its advanced design and renewable credentials when it was awarded “Best Renewable Energy Project or Installation” at the 2017 Humber Renewable Awards.
The latest planning application submitted is a hybrid scheme for an ancillary bio-production park adjacent to the existing plant. The development required an Environmental Impact Assessment and was therefore accompanied by an Environmental Statement. The application was submitted in late 2021, with a decision expected in Spring/Summer 2022.
